Why don’t bears like fast food?????
They can’t catch it…….
When the slower caveman encountered a bear he had two choices.
Fight or flight.
Flight or FEAR is our brain’s primal response to protect us from the uncomfortable, the scary, the harmful.
Not our fault….We’re just hard wired for it.
Our brain just wants to keep us as safe as we were in our mothers arms.
When the caveman chose flight, the bear would win.
He was no fast food!
I wasn’t there back then, but I do know that bears never took over the planet despite being bigger, tougher, and scarier than us.
How come?
The caveman adapted, and fought, not with his hands, but with his mind.
He learned that making himself bigger and standing his ground would confuse the bear.
The bear mind said Ruht Roh, I’ve always chased these ugly guys and ate them when they ran, I’m not sure what to do now….
So the confused bear not feeling particularly threatened simply walked away.
Caveman left with confidence he wasn’t eaten.
He shared his story with the other cavemen.
He helped them grow their confidence.
They now thought about what other confident things they could do.
They escaped the caves.
They made fire, wheels, houses.
The rest is history.
If FEAR has you trapped in a cave.
And you don’t feel like challenging yourself.
Here’s a trick.
Mentally make yourself bigger.
And make the thing you fear smaller.
Imagine yourself bigger than the fear.
90% of your fears will never happen.
But if you spend 90% of your time in FEAR of what will never happen.
Nothing will ever happen.
You will never grow, experience, or obtain joy.
You’ll stay stuck in the cave.
